Andrew A. Jennis, M.D.
Associate Chief, Adult Stem Cell/Bone Marrow Transplantation Program
at Hackensack University Medical Center

As an administrator of the Stem Cell/Bone Marrow Transplantation Program and a member of the medical staff of the Northern New Jersey Cancer Center at Hackensack University Medical Center, Dr. Jennis is actively involved in National Cancer Institute-funded clinical trials. He is also a clinical assistant of internal medicine at the medical center.

A magna cum laude graduate of Yale University, Dr. Jennis received his medical degree from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons in New York City. He completed an internship and residency in internal medicine at Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York City, and he went on to do a clinical and research fellowship in hematology/oncology at Beth Israel Hospital in Boston and Harvard Medical School.

Prior to joining the medical staff of Hackensack University Medical Center, Dr. Jennis was an emergency room physician at Mount Sinai Hospital. He was an attending at Mount Sinai Medical Center and a member of the faculty of Mount Sinai School of Medicine.

Board-certified in internal medicine and the subspecialties of hematology and medical oncology, Dr. Jennis is also on the medical staff of Holy Name Hospital in Teaneck, N.J. His professional memberships include the Eastern Cooperative Oncology Group, the American Society of Clinical Oncology, the American Society of Hematolgoy and the Oncology Society of New Jersey.

Dr. Jennis' major research intersts are in the treatment of solid tumors such as breast cancer, ovarian cancer, and brain tumora with autologous transplantation.
